IDI are the developers and owners of the BarnOwl software solution. The development of BarnOwl was initiated in 2001 and with over 50 million Rand invested in the product to date, BarnOwl is a dominant player in the field of integrated enterprise risk management (ERM) and internal audit software in the South African market and is now expanding into the international market.

With the advent of King III, UK combined code and through the uptake of enterprise risk management and integrated risk and control based auditing within organisations; the BarnOwl client base is growing at a rapid rate.

1.General Requirements

- Applicants must have their own transport to get to and from the office and clients.

- The successful applicant will work with clients in the insurance services industry.

- Applicants must be eligible to work in the Republic of South Africa.

2.Minimum Requirements

- B.Com \ B.Sc. Degree

- At least 1 years’ experience within the Insurance and\or Financial industry is essential

- At least 1 years ETL, data warehouse development and dimensional modeling experience

- At least 1 years’ experience with the following is required:

3. Key Responsibilities

Consulting with clients

Documenting business requirements, functional specifications and technical specifications

Develop MS SQL based solutions and assist in deployment and maintenance.

Management of existing data warehouse solutions.

Designing and developing management reports, dashboards and scorecards

Involvement in new projects, design and develop Business Intelligence solutions in line with business requirements.

Service ad-hoc requests for information from clients within the required timeframe and specification.

Perform data analysis – data sources, data integrity, gaps, etc.

1.Requirements

We are looking for a Graduate .Net C# Developer to join the BarnOwl development team in January 2013 with the following responsibilities:

• Coding & Unit Testing

• Customer Support

• Participation in JAD sessions & Client Meetings

• Maintenance and Enhancement of existing applications

• Documentation as required

2.Competencies

• Currently studying towards completing an undergraduate / postgraduate degree with a major in Computer Science

3.Aptitude
